What is the best and cost effective area to live in if I will be working in Washington, DC? I'm relocating for a job in the next couple of months and I need to find something affordable (between $800-$1200 for a 2 bedroom townhouse). Any suggestions? I have the following cities in mind: Upper Marlboro, Lanham, Largo, Bowie (sp?). Thanks!!

The closest cites that are reasonable I would say are either Richmond, Virginia, or Frederick, Maryland. I know there's also a lot of people that live in Baltimore and work in Washington, DC. Baltimore is going through major urban renewal.
