i thought if u go to work like a volunteer you dont get paid but you also dont have to pay too..i was looking around for volunteer work in countries in afrika or south amerika.and i saw that i have to pay too..!!!is that right..??are there no volunteer jobs without payng..i dont have the amound of money thaey ask because it is lot too..

Write them anyway and ask for a bursary or some kind of fee forgiveness. Tell them you want to help but don't have the budget. Can't hurt to ask.

If you want to volunteer, you still have to get there, eat and have a place to live. Programs that charge you are charging for these things (or occasionally are scams). If you volunteered in the US you would still have to pay your own living expenses.

Yes, you have to pay your own way there and usually all your expenses, the volunteer part comes in when you don't get a paycheck but work for free

A nonprofit organization cannot use donated fund to supply volunteers with transportation, food, housing and so on. That is why the volunteers must supply their own Join a Church that sends volunteers and the church pays the expenses.

I know, it sucks. That is why I joined the Peace Corps. There is a lot of bureacracy but it's a great program and they pay for everything. It's a 27 month commitment.
