No. Obviously you know little of politics. In order to make it work, Obama and McCain should stay far away from the process and little the house and senate deal with it. You bring the candidates in...they bring the media...and everyone is posturing for position. McCain is using this crisis to boost his numbers...that is wrong. To the ignorant below me: McCain is in an interview for the President of the United States...not to run for Senator again (or is he?). AS such...he must be able to handle more than one crisis at a time. In todays age...there is telephone, email, fax, video conference ...all of which he can use to get his point across. However, McCain can't handle all of that so he leaves? That is not Presidential? That is not what I want the world to think of America.

Political gain from disaster is their modus operandi. That's why they cheered failure in Iraq. That's why Obama went to Iraq to urge their leaders to put off a security arrangement decision until after the election. And now they are doing everything they can to pin the blame for this on McCain, or at least his party. EDIT: to the idiots above me, HE IS A SENATOR. It is his JOB. It's what we are paying him to do. There is no present button in the senate, as "Call me and I'll be there" Obama apparently thinks.

In my opinion it was Democrats fault this happened. They supported and worked with that guy RAINS who ran Fannie Mae! Thats where this mess started! Democrats pushed mortgage co.to give loans to people who could not afford them! Obama even had RAINS as a advisor, it was in newspapers months ago- now Obama is lying saying he wasnt a advisor even when there is proof! Whats wrong with that guy? He won't even give anyone a list of who his advisors are. Obama even had that nut job Pfleger as a advisor during the Primaries! His other advisors kept telling him-BAD IDEA to get him away- but Obama stood by Father Pfleger! Unbelievable that people believe Obama's lies!!!! This housing crisis would never happened if we did not ABORT over 3,000 BABIES EVERYDAY! We don't have enough people to buy the Houses! Who is for ABORTION?DEMOCRATS!

McCain was told he wasn't needed, because the committees already had things under control, and because they didn't want the media circus while they were trying to get work done. Do you seriously think the presence of one additional senator is going to make or break the economy? Do you really think we'll sink into a depression because John McCain isn't sitting in the Capitol for a few hours on a Friday night? This crisis has been unfolding for weeks, even months, and now if McCain doesn't run to DC all of a sudden, we're screwed? Come on. Are you really that gullible? You're falling for his little stunt, hook, line, and sinker.

Considering that neither Obama nor McCain are on any of the relevant committees and McCain has admitted that he doesn't know much about the economy, I don't see any other reason for McCain to go to Washington now other than to try to postpone the debate until his numbers aren't so dismal. Besides, when McCain got there, almost all of the work was done. What, was he trying to take credit for other people's work? And why did he suspend his campaign? Surely, if Palin wanted to show the nation she's able to pick up the presidency if needed, she could have spent these couple of days campaigning for the both of them.

I don't know. The answer seems pretty clear to me. I guess Obama figures the worse the economy is the more it helps him politically and he doesn't seem to care about the American people or what they are experiencing. No, the debate can be postponed a few days to give the necessary time to find a reasonable resolution to the worst financial crisis facing our nation since 1929. It was stunning to hear Obama say that, "they (meaning Congress) will call him IF they need him and IF there is anything HELPFUL he could do." He's confirmed to me that he is just not ready to lead.

Pit Bull, I agree! I want all of my representatives front and center in Washington, worried sheetless about what their colleagues are doing in this legislation. I don't want them saying...6 months down the road, oh crap, I signed that???? Further, it IS the responsibilities of our elected officials, running for office to ensure they understand what this congress and administration are doing and the impact it will have on the NEXT! All of this BS about McCain, traveling to Washington is posturing is crap! He should be here and they should all stand together in front of the American People saying: "We must do this for the betterment of our Country." Nothing more, nothing less.

You will have to take the test in Washington. You can opt out of the classes and just take the test.
