My Canadian girlfriend is a dental hygienist and wants to work in Washington State

My Canadian girlfriend is a dental hygienist and wants to work in Washington State?
She only has 2 years of experience. She's passed all the board exams, the Washington requirements as well, such as the health tests, AIDS classes, etc. I live in Seattle and we want to know the fastest way for her to start working here. Which VISA application should she fill out, and is there a way to expedite the process? Would it help is she had an employer sponsor her? Basically, since NAFTA doesn't cover dental hygienists, we are looking for the fastest way to get her working down here. Thanks. PS - personal experience descriptions are encouraged. Thanks again! She wants to work here so that we can live together. Currently I live in Seattle and she lives in B.C. My girlfriend has actually passed the National Board Exam AND the Regional Board Exam. She did all of the stuff she needs to do to be licensed in WA, including the part where she has to get a volunteer patient. Now we just need to know how she should apply for her visa. Which papers to fill out, should she try to get a sponsor, etc. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ryan.

Yes, that would be good if she had an employer sponsor her. Why does she want to work here in Washington? Just curious. Here are some website to look at.

Sadly dentistry is not like the medical field. She would most likely have to take the US national written board test AND the regional clinical exam for washington area. Groups of states in the USA have their own regional exam. Which means a hygienist from massachusetts CANT transfer to CA because they would have to take a whole new clinical exam to get a license in CA from Mass. And it is hard to do. First of all the test is about 800 dollars and you have to find a specific type of patient to work on and a testing site (a school) that will allow you to test there. The US government has basically made it impossible for a hygienist to leave a set amount of states and work in another region of the USA. She would most likely have to retest. She needs to contact your state's dental board to find out what she needs to do.

What are the tax implications of living in Washington State and working in Idaho

What are the tax implications of living in Washington State and working in Idaho?
I am looking at taking a job in Idaho and am wondering if it is a bad idea to live in Washington and work in Idaho. I know that I will have to pay Idaho income tax regardless of my location, but am wondering if Washington will charge me anything. I will be living in an apartment, so property taxes are not an issue.

Any attorneys want to represent me for being illegally suspended from work, in marysville Washington? lawyers

Any attorneys want to represent me for being illegally suspended from work, in marysville Washington? lawyers?
Here's the deal. I worked at a fast food company, as a assistant manager, but was never put on the assistant managers salary, because my boss said he just didn't get around to it. My boss opened up his joint in a navybase, and broke all the rules when it came to giving out free food to certain people. I told him not too. And I told the employees not too. However he overruled me everytime, enforcing that I had no authority over that specific issue. So after he left, and the new boss took over, the employees continued to give out free food after I told them not too, because it was breaking navy and company rules. However by this time they still never listened to me. Well I told my bosses boss what had happened, and instead of being thanked. I was held responsible for every piece of free food that was ever given out. Even though it wasen't me allowing it. However because I was the assistant manager, I am now suspended for my boss breaking the rules. Please tell me what to do?

I need help with work and Washington state laws!

I need help with work and Washington state laws!?
Ok I currently reside in Seattle, Wa and I work for a well known bakery in most malls! I was wondering is it legal to work someone by themselves from anywhere from 5-7 hours and tell them you can not leave the store. Which means you can not go to the bathroom! Then you are not given any brake. I was told because we are allowed to eat the food we serve they can get away from this. Is this true? There is one bathroom in the mall ( pretty small mall). I normally would put a sign up that says be back in 5 minutes then run to the bathroom. which is 4 stores away from where I work. My district manager has told us not to do that and to hold it until a replacement shows. This is the honest to god truth.

No. Federal law states that you must take an unpaid 1/2 hour break after 5 hours. I have never heard of a food business not having a bathroom, even in malls. I think you are pushing the truth here.

I would suggest that you go online and locate the US Dept of Labor office that serves the area you live in, then contact them for answers.

As an employee working full time you have the right to a ten minute break every two hours and a 30 minute meal break fro every eight hour day worked. This is not only state but federal law. If you're employer is violating the law then you need to report him/her to Washington State Labor and Industries as they enforce labor laws for your state.
