deductions are usually listed..if not speak to payroll.............
2 :
$40,000 divided by 12 months a year is $3,333.33 a month. Depending on what deductions you claimed and what's withheld for them, plus benefits like health insurance, dental insurance, and other deductions, at about 65% your take-home sounds right.

i make 40 K here in texas. That's about what I take home, but I take out for my retirement, union and a "cookie jar fund" at my credit union, oh and also health insurance. We don't have income taxes here. s

you need to calculate your pay check BEFORE taxes and or money for health insurance are taken out not after to calculate your annual income, but 25,917 annually even with taxes taken out does not sound right. that would be almost 20k in taxes a yr!!!! i hope you have your agreement from when you signed on with the company.I would definetly talk to HR.

Sounds like your getting screwed! I make $28,500 and I take home $1900 a month.

Should I look for seasonal summer work in Colorado, Washington State, Canada or Alaska this summer

Should I look for seasonal summer work in Colorado, Washington State, Canada or Alaska this summer?
NO east coast! I'm talking about working @ a seasonal summer resort hotel or something like that. I worked in Skagway but people tell me there is much more to Alaska than that~ I was born in Fairbanks & I KNOW many of these places in AK (not uncommon ) are NOT accessible by road. which is the only sucky thing lol.

colorado, there are a lot of summer jobs in colorado

I'd go to Colorado. It's beautiful there, and there are plenty of job opportunities ranging from ranches and resorts to summer camps. Good luck!
3 :
The Canadian Rockies are a ton of fun in the summer - Banff and Canmore in Alberta have tons of jobs, and a great balance of beautiful scenery and good nightlife. Looking at your list, you are going to win with any of those choices. I envy you...

Sigh, to be young again and be able to just pick up and go somewhere adventurous for the summer. Well, if you are from Alaska why not try Washington State? Colorado is awesome too. Both have some beautiful wilderness and both have some amazing metropolitan areas too. Good luck--(and I am so jealous).

Unfortunately there aren't any great paying summer jobs in Alaska unless you have special skills (aviation mechanic comes to mind). If you want to come back to Alaska that's one thing but if that's not your motivation you'll never make up the transportation costs. Colorado's seasonal work is in the winter... (ski resorts) not the summer. There is seasonal work in Washington and Oregon anywhere there are resorts. The pay isn't great but it's a good place to spend a summer.

Pharmacists take a board exam for one state, if they want to be licensed in another state they have to take a law exam for that state, and fork over about 700 dollars in cash for the papers to get shuffled.
2 :
to work in a state you must have a license their, so you can only work in the state you have a license in.
3 :
This is a question I would expect even a first year pharmacy student would be able to answer. The license is granted by the state, and you can only work in a state you have a license in.

How do you apply for state disability in Washington State

How do you apply for state disability in Washington State?
I am asking this for a friend, he was working in Washington state and got hurt on his job and is now out of work, for 8 months and ended up having a surgery. He does not have any income right now and is pending a legal case with his last job. I am wondering: Does Washington state has DIB or SDI? If so, how can you apply, as he now resides in California and needs to do it over the internet if possible. Thank you in advance for your help.

He would need to make an appointment with the Social Security office in his part of CA by calling 1-800-772-1313.
