I have found many sites and many works that quote this piece from the famous black botanist, but no "site work". I need to know where it is published, so I may ask a permission to quote in a book that is waiting to go to the publishers! Hope you can help! Katrina Wood at graywoodstables@yahoo.com

And I don't mean to be rude, but if you're asking on Yahoo Answers how to get a job in the White House, you won't get a job at the White House. There are a couple of other options: You can also apply through the White House Fellows program: http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/fellows/ - but this is VERY competitive. Take a look at the descriptions of the current fellows to get a sense of the requirements. And there's the Intern program: http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/internships/
