Is this the NEW AMERICAN DREAM

Is this the NEW AMERICAN DREAM?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20100213/us_time/08599196345400 How close are YOU to living in the family car? A broken leg? A nasty divorce? A lawsuit? A layoff at work? An auto accident w/the loss of your transportation? Wanna spin the WHEEL OF FATE in AMERIKA? I'm not bashing Obama , at least not right now. This homeless thing started in the 80's with Reaganomics!

People have been homeless since the dawn of time. With the right planning, these kinds of worries become so minuscule that it's not really worth worrying about. Want to not have to worry about it? Study and get good grades in high school. Keep your legs closed and don't get knocked up, or keep your pants on and don't knock up anyone. Go to college. Get a job, two if you need it. Don't buy things you can't afford...do not use credit cards. If you can't pay all your bills, and then pay cash for whatever it is, then you don't need it. The only exception is medical problems. You don't need cable tv, playstations, computers, internet, to drink, to do drugs, to eat out, to have your nails done, to buy top of the line clothes, cell phones, etc. Those are luxuries and should be treated as such. Save every dime you can.

It has been made worse by the Bush administration. Obama is trying to fix what he made nearly impossible to fix. I am living with my daughter due to an illness that I cannot control or afford medical insurance for. Otherwise I would be homeless, and not have a car to live in. This is one reason all the help to Haiti is upsetting. There are plenty of reasons to help the people of the United States. It's good to help those in need in Haiti, don't get me wrong, but it's very bothersome that people are still suffering in New Orleans, and now in California after all the terrible weather they have had there. We have too many homeless and uninsured here, why aren't some of these millions of dollars and celebrities doing something to help here at home also. At the moment the only American dream is to have shelter, food, and health. It does not exist in many places, along with the loss of jobs, it does not seem to be improving as well as we are lead to believe. Then to have to listen, or read about these bozos in finance who think their worth is more than ours and take millions and even billions of our dollars for themselves in bonuses, is just maddening. No one in their right mind could ever need or have use for that much money, they only make those in need suffer more with no care or concern of anyone but themselves. It's sad, but true.
